Physical Health
Women and Physical Fitness:
A low-fat diet and regular exercise can help women prevent heart disease, which kills more women than any other health risk condition. “Healthy Living©” is a viable nutrition and exercise program that every woman can enthusiastically enjoy. A review of toxins in products and their harmful affects on women, diet and exercise - to include self-defense, dance and aerobics are discussed and demonstrated. Women should plan to dress comfortably, expect to cook exquisitely and basically have fun!

Teen Girls and Physical Fitness:
Studies show that girls turn away from sports and fitness once they reach the teen years. So how do we keep our daughters as interested in keeping fit as our sons? It’s important to teach our teen girls that fitness is a lifestyle choice, and that keeping fit is a life-long endeavor. Studies show that girls are less likely to remain physically active once they reach adolescence because of lack of interest in fitness during the teen years. Girls need to be in a social, team-driven, fun environment.

We can help our teens remain physically active by role modeling and by seeing that our schools provide fitness programs that reflect the interests of girls. Physical activity helps teen girls cope with stress, prevents disease and provides fun and socialization.
